Summary An exciting opportunity has arisen for an Assistant Librarian to join the Historic England Library service on a permanent contract. As part of a small team you will have the opportunity to take part in a wide variety of professional tasks, and to contribute to the smooth running and development of the library service. This is a part time (21:36 hrs per week), office-based role. Historic England is the public body that looks after England`s historic environment. We champion historic places, helping people understand, value and care for them. Based in our Swindon office, the Historic England Library houses a substantial collection of monographs, pamphlets and serials relating to English archaeology and architecture, and forms a working collection for the staff of Historic England and the English Heritage Trust, as well as a reference facility for the public.
