Freeways are a charity that was set up in 1987 to provide services for people with learning disabilities across Bristol, North Somerset, South Gloucestershire and Bath and North East Somerset.

The aim of our service is to help people become as independent as possible by helping them make choices, learn new skills and make new links in their local community. Over the years our services have developed to meet the needs of the individuals we support, our local communities and the local councils and government.

We support up to 115 people in accommodation based services and also individual within their own homes. Freeways also runs a range of other services including community day services, building based services, hydrotherapy services and physiotherapy services.

The support we provide is based on person centred principles and allows individuals to achieve a range of personal goals and outcomes. We liaise with other professionals to ensure we all work together to support people as individual, helping them to have a voice and support others to listen.

We fundamentally believe that all individuals should be treated with respect and supported to be valued members of our communities irrespective of their ability. and that all people should live a life that is free from abuse We work closely with a number of local safeguarding adults boards to ensure the voices of people with learning disabilities are central to the work they do.

We are committed to promoting equal opportunities and welcome applicants from all backgrounds.
