Job Description

Kennedys is looking for Claims Handler to join the Insurance Division. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a growing team, working on a variety of different cases with excellent long term progression opportunities . You will be able to work from home frequently with travel to either our London, Bristol or Taunton office as and when required.

Team

Kennedys' Claims Handling team is one of the largest and most experienced claims handling teams in the UK and Ireland. Our team is based in London, Taunton, Bristol and Ireland and handles claims on behalf of major insurers and managing general agents. We deal with thousands of notifications, which include solicitors' professional indemnity (PI), architects and other construction professionals, accountants, Independent Financial Advisors (IFAs), first party cyber and ATE/BTE claims. Our claims handlers provide pro-active, responsive, and cost-effective claims management, driven by a desire to provide outstanding client service.

Cases

  • Large ATE claims with varied underlying commercial disputes including: IP, commercial contractual, insolvency, professional indemnity and phone hacking/privacy.
  • Smaller ATE claims arising from RTA/Personal Injury.
  • BTE LEI claims mostly relating to landlord and tenant or personal injury.

Required experience

  • Claims handling experience or alternatively underwriting experience in respect of ATE claims gained either with an insurer or broker
  • We will also consider candidates who have completed a law degree and have an interest in Claims Handling.
  • Liaison with clients, provision of customer service.
  • Use of electronic case management systems.
