Job Description

The opportunity

We are looking for our 2021 cohort of Analysts (or ‘Research Executives’) to join our consultancy based in Soho.

As an Analyst, you will play a key role within collaborative project teams, helping to solve clients’ problems across a range of industries through a combination of consumer and secondary desk research, commercial analysis and workshops to enact business change.

To achieve all the above, we will provide a combination of on-the-job learning opportunities working with experienced colleagues, complemented by a more structured development plan. You will be offered both in-house and external training, as well as self-taught learning modules and will have a mentor who will help you define personal development goals to support you as you build a career in strategic insights and consulting.

You will be interested in brands, consumer facing and/or healthcare businesses, have a good awareness of macro consumer trends, be curious about consumer insight and strategy, as well as smart, driven, articulate, organised and proactive.

Candidates might have either a degree/equivalent qualification, or significant relevant work experience, and a demonstrable passion for the sectors we work in.

Role profile  

The details:

  • Permanent contract
  • Salary starting from £26k
  • Extensive benefits starting after 3 months
  • ‘Hybrid’ working, with 2 days in the office and 3 days at home each week

The Analyst role will consist of four rotations of three months each, in the first year. Rotating through Qualitative Research, Quantitative Research, Health Research and Strategy, the Analysts will get excellent exposure to all aspects of research and strategy, working with some of the best minds in the business.

After year one, the Analysts will be able to apply their skills and experience across all specialisms, working with different project teams.   Analysts will be involved in all areas of our consulting process whilst learning the different aspects of our approach to consumer insight and strategy:

  • Interrogate - how we identify and articulate the client’s problem
  • Invent - how we develop the appropriate solution to solve the client’s problem
  • Integrate – how we use evidence to uncover insights
  • Influence – how we convert insights to deliver impact
  • Incite – how we develop tangible outputs for clients

Project work – working as part of the project teams Analysts will gain exposure to all areas of many different types of projects, understanding the full cycle of a project. Analysts will work on all aspects of research and analysis involved in the delivery of a project together with any necessary set-up and administration.

Development – through on the job learning, in-house and external training, Analysts will develop the skills and knowledge to take more responsibility on projects and strive to move up to our Associate level after 18-24 months, depending on progress and experience.

Company – there are numerous ways to get involved beyond client work.  Whether this is writing blogs or thought pieces, running internal ‘lunch and learn’ sessions, contributing to our Incite Lab where we identify and create new tools to help us do our jobs better, participating in culture, people, wellbeing and community initiatives or being part of our social committee – the opportunities to help drive the success of Incite are diverse and rewarding.

We are looking for people who are:

  • Data savvy: can interpret and manipulate data both quantitative and qualitative

  • Adaptable: able to work on different qual and quant projects across different sectors
  • IT confident: solid ability in using Office programs (Word, PowerPoint, Excel)
  • Calm: an ability to work under pressure; ask for help when required
  • Professional: dealing with confidential and commercially sensitive information

  • Research exercise to complete at home and send in to us

 Successful candidates will then be invited to attend a virtual assessment centre, on either 9th, 14th and 16th September, 9.30am-12.30pm.
