Ascential's Lions We're looking for a Chief Revenue Officer to join our team in London as part of our Sales (and Commercial) function.

The Chief Revenue Officer will work closely with the Managing Director of Lions to create a world-class commercial strategy and roadmap that will allow the global brand to deliver against its long-term growth plans and ambitious revenue targets. The successful candidate will have full ownership of the global sales and commercial operation across all Lions revenue streams with the exception of awards and delegate sales (event sponsorship, subscription and advisory) and all markets. Candidates will have first rate leadership skills and at least 10+ years’ experience with a proven track record of exceeding growth expectations and leading successful global teams.


Key Responsibilities

  • Accountable for delivering against, or exceeding, stretching annual revenue targets
  • Ownership and leadership of global sales and commercial operation
  • Development of global commercial strategy across all revenue streams (excluding awards and dels)
  • Ensuring consistent growth across the product portfolio (within each stream and overall)
  • Ownership and management of key global stakeholder and customer relationships
  • Responsible for the identification and end-to-end development of new revenue streams
  • Establishing an inclusive, collaborative culture where high performance is recognised and inevitable
  • Financial reporting and presentation with emphasis on accurate forecasting from excellent pipeline management
  • Develop creative, on-brand sales strategies and solutions that maximise inventory and growth
  • Accountable for sales growth within key regional customer markets
  • Coaching and development of sales leaders and management of overall team performance
  • Ensuring optimal sales processes and systems are maintained including clear ways of working and use of Salesforce
  • Responsible for being across market shifts and customer and competitor activity
  • Building exceptional internal stakeholder and business partner relationships


Your Experience

  • 10+ years overall experience in sales in a relevant industry
  • Known industry leader who can represent themselves, the brand and Ascential in a credible way
  • Deep knowledge of the relevant global markets and ability to build strong stakeholder and customer relationships
  • First-rate global leadership ability and a proven track record.
  • Proven experience in creating a culture of collaboration, success and high performance
  • Considered a sales process expert with excellent pipeline management capabilities and high proficiency in Salesforce
  • Ability to understand and interpret complex financial and sales data
  • Strong business acumen - with a growth mindset
  • Sales and targets driven with exceptional sales management skills
  • Consistent ability to excel across multiple revenue streams with different business models
  • Ability to move from creative thinking to strategic sales planning with ease
  • Excellent communication skills - persuasive, confident and in control
  • Comfortable with ambiguity and able to thrive in a matrix structure Plc
  • Flexible - must be willing to travel globally throughout the year
