We're looking for a Senior Account Executive to join our team in London as part of our Sales function.

We are eCommerce ambassadors tasked with driving a Digital Commerce revolution, and we are growing our New Business EMEA team!

As an Account Executive within the Edge by Ascential Sales team you will sell the most dynamic digital commerce analytics suite for every brand manufacturer user.

Edge by Ascential visualises digital commerce for brands by bringing actions to data and insights through its strategy, execution and performance measuring services. The Senior Account Executive will formulate and execute a consultative sales strategy within an assigned region, drive revenue growth by penetrating the specific categories and leading brands and develop new customers in their segment. You will work in partnership with the pre-sales and marketing teams to drive growth across all our product services and markets.


Key Responsibilities

  • Understanding the Ecommerce landscape in EMEA and the opportunities and threats faced by those companies
  • Deep understanding of the sales process with the ability to engage senior level executives in strategic meetings to ensure top down alignment regarding strategy and objectives
  • Actively prospect and develop a qualified new business opportunity pipeline
  • Manage complete and complex sales-cycles from initial customer engagement to closed sales
  • Define, execute and own an engagement plan for key prospects
  • Develop and maintain strategic account plans that identify opportunities for Edge to deliver value, strategic motivators, main stakeholders, buying processes and forecasted sales.
  • Generate innovative ideas on ways to navigate through the ever-changing e-commerce space and grow sales while improving our competitive advantage
  • Manage accurate lead, pipeline and forecast reporting on a regular basis
  • Collaborate with pre-sales and product marketing to create joint demand generation strategies, potential use cases
  • Attend networking events to promote Edge solutions and identify potential future clients


Your Experience

  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent desirable
  • Ideally 7+ years of sales experience, selling mid-market to enterprise solutions into large companies (CPG companies would be advantageous)
  • Ability to reach and develop relationships with C-Level leadership or senior lines of business executives in your respective categories
  • Highly motivated Hunter mentality
  • Understanding of eCommerce ecosystem landscape and relationships (Desired)
  • Strong business acumen, problem solving & analytical skills
  • Proven negotiation skills with persistence and tenacity
  • Must have expert presentation skills; using data and analytics to develop compelling stories
  • Must be able to leverage an existing network of prospective clients
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and Salesforce
  • Able to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Able to travel as needed
