Edge by Ascential are looking for an Analyst Associate to join our team in London as part of our Content function.

As an Analyst Associate for Edge by Ascential Retail Insights, you’ll influence how brands and retailers go to market and execute their strategies in stores and online.

By creating and utilising data, publishing on retail developments and innovation, and engaging with clients to inform and inspire, you will help create the best retail insights and intelligence business in the industry. With guidance from your Research Director, you will work cross functionally with colleagues in London and across our network of global offices to create industry leading content and deliver unique client solutions.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Research and content development, focusing on retailers, markets, and strategic thought leadership topics, using data sets from Edge by Ascential, primary research, and your own expertise to provide actionable recommendations to customers
  • Project management, leading & driving projects
  • Create unique data analysis to solve customers’ frequently asked questions and pain points
  • Deepen customer engagement and research capabilities through cultivating personal client relationships
  • Become an expert and spokesperson for the Edge by Ascential Retail Insight platform to effectively communicate value and applications to customers
  • Deliver presentations in-person and through webcasts
  • Monitor and interpret retailer, industry, and macro-economic developments to improve our data forecasts and coverage
  • Publish actionable insight and analysis on industry news and developments following the framework of situation>implication>recommendation

 

Your Experience

  • Ideally a degree or equivalent
  • Quantitatively savvy with ability to interpret data to draw conclusions, delivering insight in a ‘client ready’ format
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills critical, additional language skills beneficial
  • Experience in online retail and digital is desirable
  • Efficient and productive, skilled at project delivery with ability to manage resources and responsibilities to meet commitments
  • Strong interpersonal skills to effectively work in teams and interact with customers
  • Self-motivated and results driven, able to take initiative and ownership
  • Confident in public speaking and able to share opinions within larger groups
  • Fast-learning and flexible with strong time management skills to independently lead research and balance priorities
