Totum Partners are delighted to be working with a leading global law firm who have a great opportunity to work in a hybrid working pattern.  

This role has primary responsibility for Accounts Payable and the ideal candidate would have one to two years of experience in this area. 

This role has the responsibility to assist in the smooth running of the firm’s Finance Department and its systems in order to give support to the Partners, managers and other members of the firm.


Key tasks will include:

  • The main contact in Finance and dealing with the firm’s purchase ledger including inputting invoices and payment of suppliers using Sage accounting software
  • Reconciling supplier statements with our ledgers
  • Working with the Head of Finance to ensure costs are accurately reflect in the P&L
  • Dealing with the firm’s payments via the on-line banking system
  • Business credit card analysis, posting to the ledger and suppliers account within SAGE
  • Partner drawing payments
  • Handling Client/Office receipts/payments daily
  • Client to office/office to client transfers
  • Bank reconciliations daily
  • Regular housekeeping within the accounting software, dealing with write offs, file closing and archiving
  • Month-end billing – and posting the bills from drafts provided by fee earners/secretaries
  • Disbursement's postings
  • Dealing with other members of the firm at all levels as and when required

The successful candidate will have:

  • Accounts payable experience
