Role
Forbes Solicitors are looking for a Paralegal to join the Crime Team at our Preston Office.  This is a full-time role working 36.25 hours per week, Monday- Friday.

The role will be responsible for delivering successful outcomes such as:

  • working alongside other solicitors, partners, and paralegals;
  • having direct communication with clients and third-party solicitors;
  • legal research;
  • preparing draft legal advice;
  • assisting on files and at court generally;
  • using the Firm’s case management systems;
  • preparing documentation/paperwork.

Experience, and skills:

  • have LPC (desirable but not essential)
  • hold CILEX qualification/Law Degree (or equivalent)
  • have an interest in long-term development/progression in the department
  • have the ability to work unsupervised and possess good self-motivation skills
  • have the ability to work as part of a team and be reliable and enthusiastic
  • have proven competence in their IT skills
  • ideally, have criminal law experience, however, this is not essential
  • have the ability to touch type but this is not essential as full training will be given
