Job Description

Forbes Solicitors are looking for a Paralegal to join the Housing and Regeneration Property Team. This is a full-time role working 36.25 per week, Monday- Friday, based at Walton Summit with the option for hybrid working available.

Working within a busy Housing and Regeneration Property Department which carries out varied commercial property and development (non-litigation) work for housing associations and working as part of a team.  The role will be responsible for delivering successful outcomes such as:

  • Dealing with a broad range of Development work for the Firm’s Housing Association clients;
  • working alongside other solicitors, partners, and paralegals;
  • having direct communication with clients and third-party solicitors and developing relationships;
  • legal research;
  • preparing draft legal advice;
  • assisting on files generally;
  • using the Firm’s case management systems;
  • preparing documentation/paperwork;

We will be progressing applicants to the next stage based on applications demonstrating the following knowledge, experience, and skills:

  • ideally, hold the LPC or CILEx qualification (or equivalent), or hold other further education qualifications (e.g. LLB, A Levels)
  • have demonstrable legal experience within a property environment either residential or social housing or commercial
  • have an interest in long-term development/progression in the department
  • have the ability to work unsupervised and good self-motivation skills
  • have the ability to work as part of a team and be reliable and enthusiastic
  • Strong IT skills
  • Capability to generate fees in accordance with agreed targets
  • Proven experience in handling own caseload, working to and managing deadlines
  • Good writing and drafting skills, with excellent communication and technical ability
