Accounts Assistant Cashier Legal

Job Description

CMS, a future facing Law Firm, is looking to engage with an experienced Cashier to assist the Cashier Team in dealing with Client monies.


About the role

This role involves monitoring bank accounts for receipts of funds coming in and processing payments out of our various bank accounts. Our Client Account Cashiers service all of our UK and some of our International offices, it is a challenging and busy department. We are looking for an individual who likes to be challenged, kept busy and thrives on no two days being the same.

Your responsibilities will include:
- Taking instructions from fee earners
- Making electronic payments on online banking platform
- Using Legal Software to record payments made

- Liaising with other staff members and other colleagues
- Cashiering / banking knowledge preferable
- Working well under pressure
- Working well within guidelines
- Prioritising workload
- Working with speed and accuracy
- Remaining highly motivated


About you

The ideal candidate will have proven Online Banking System experience.
Experience working in a Law firm is preferred but not essential, although previous office experience is a must.
